About Us

About Us

The overall goal of New Haven Reads is to provide an environment where children and adults have access to free books and tutoring to increase their literacy skills and academic performance.

History

Volunteers

Volunteers are the soul of our organization. Volunteers work in the tutoring programs, in the Book Bank and in Book Distribution.

Board of Directors

In 2005 we incorporated and formed our first small Board of Directors. The all-volunteer board is responsible for setting policy and ensuring the organization’s financial stability.
